The National Palace Museum presents “A True Taiwanese Welcome” Travel Project, which features a promotional video and travel guidebooks in four languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Its aim is to introduce NPM’s fine collection of cultural relics, the nearby attractions of the Northern and Southern Branches, and the most recommended 10 selected itineraries. Domestic and foreign travelers are both invited to explore Taiwan starting from the National Palace Museum to experience the rich diversity offered by its history, culture, nature, and cuisines.
The National Palace Museum is launching the 2024 A True Taiwanese Welcome Project to celebrate its 100th anniversary next year as well as the 10th anniversary of its Southern Branch. In the promotional video, creative camera language is used to explore the Northern and Southern Branches of NPM through the perspectives of the male and female protagonists. When visiting the Northern Branch, you'll have a chance to appreciate a rich collection of artifacts, take a short trip around some attractions, marvel at the beauty of the Chinese-style Zhishan Garden, and then leisurely stroll through the historical streets of Dadaocheng to experience its unique cultural ambience. The trip to the Southern Branch involves discovering the fusion of modern architecture and Asian arts, savoring Chiayi's most famed turkey rice, and getting a nostalgic ride on the Garlic Sugar Factory small train.
