Introduction

The National Palace Museum collaborates with the Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs and High Jewelry Maison Van Cleef & Arpels to present the Beauty Speaks for Itself exhibition in Taipei from September 26 to December 29, 2024, and in Chiayi from January 23 to April 20, 2025.

Inspired by the ancient wisdom of philosopher, Zhuangzi, the title Beauty Speaks for Itself evokes the wonders of nature and the elegance embedded within each curated piece.

This exhibition showcases over 260 masterworks, ranging from exquisite ceramics, jades, glass, bronze, silver and gold, graphic art, sculpture, textile, furniture to high jewelry, luxury watchmaking creations, and more. Beauty Speaks for Itself invites visitors on an immersive journey transcending time, offering a rare glimpse into the intricate craftsmanship and artistic innovation that defines the finest decorative arts.
